Hi Islanders, a fresh update has arrived!

Bringing meaningful new interactions in Starsand Island. It is a perfect moment to rediscover the island, reconnect with its residents, and experience a richer, more immersive life.

New Dating Interactions

Connections on the island have grown deeper. After reaching specific Affection levels with certain NPCs, you can unlock a variety of new dating interactions. Spend time together in more personal ways, discover new sides of each character, and build relationships that feel more natural and engaging.

With upcoming additions to the dating system, including 5 professional mentors and Solara, even more character stories and relationship moments will soon become available, further expanding how you connect with your favorite islanders.

These moments are designed to make every connection more memorable.

In Starsand Island, you can experience a different way of life. Farm the land, go fishing, and raise animals such as capybaras, cats, and dogs, or venture deep into the mysterious Moonlit Forest to uncover hidden areas and secrets.

I thought I knew what I was getting into, buying the game at early access with the purpose of playing on the Steam Deck. I know, small studio backed by big corpo, flat npcs, soulless world, bugs etc. But I figured I'd be happy zoning out doing nonstop crafting, muting the music and putting on some vaporwave as a form of stress relief. What I didn't account for is the pop-in, which is rather extreme on the deck. Literally witness trees and crap suddenly appearing 3-5 meters away as you walk from place to place, it was too much for me to ignore. Which is a shame because the game does look great on the oled.

Seems their idea of Steam Deck "optimization" is making very aggressive LOD cuts, maybe understandable considering the hardware, and maybe this all gets much better later on when the game launches. But if you're contemplating the notion of playing this on the deck, just be advised that major pop-in comes with the territory, at least for right now.

My review would have to be neutral but leaning more towards positive.

This game was entertaining for the most part. I like the grind and crafting aspect to build/farm. There's character customization where you can choose your hair, face, skin tone, and outfits but minimally. There's a lot of space you can use to build and customize your lot. So long as you have material and the will power, you can pretty much build freely without much limits like most crafting games wouldn't allow. However, it all seemed pretty empty to me. Everything you build and decorate it with is just for show and there is zero interaction with your home and farm. The most you can do is sit, which can only make your stamina go up if you're still.

It was open world-ish but with limits to how far you can go and even if, most of it is just empty space. It does look like in the future there could be more areas to explore if they expand on the map.

As far as combat goes...well there isn't much lol. There's only one cave you can explore that has several levels to explore and gather materials. The boss fights weren't challenging so it was pretty much pointless to even do once you complete the initial fight. After that, you can bypass them by literally going around them.

No neighbors that pass by or visit your lot and I believe the only thing that happens is sharing your space with a close friend of your choosing from the "romance" options once you hit 5 hearts. I wouldn't really call it romance 'cause there's zero romantic interactions or cut scenes with the choices given. The most you can do is give them a gift and do random tasks for them to raise their "affinity".

Overall the game was cute and visually appealing but it lacked any depth to it. There isn't a storyline to it, just a bunch of tasking which in my opinion, I like. It's a good way to pass the time if you're not really feeling like being a try hard at a game. It is cozy and I appreciate the simplicity of it. I just wish there was more to it than just the endless tasks and farming for materials.

Although I did lose interest in this game, this game definitely has potential.

Is it worth the price? Yes and no. However if you're not sure to get this game, I'd wait for a sale to try it out.

I just dont understand. Why in the girly game for girls there is SO MUCH WOMAN FOR ROMANCE! Why cant i have cool guy biker and i got big titty woman instead? For girsl there is what... like 5 options? And almost all of them is like... reeeeeally situational. The beautifull guy... that is shy.. and loves flowers and all so elegant... ITS NOT FOR EVERYONE! I want more options for girls, pleeeeease.
