It's a Microsoft C++ Redistributable problem, confirmed.

Here's what you need to do:

1.) The Main One ("v14" / 2015-2022): Link: VC_redist.x64.exe (https://aka.ms/vc14/vc_redist.x64.exe)

2.) The Older One (2013): Link: VC_redist.x64.exe (2013 Version) (https://aka.ms/highdpimfc2013x64enu)

After downloading, go to your download directory and double-click the installer. Do them in this order:

1 - The Main One. Open and select "Repair" and let it run through the installer. This will probably not fix your problem, but it's a necessary step.

2 - The Older One. Open and select "Repair" and let it run through the installer. This one will take a bit longer and ask you to restart your PC after the install is complete. This is the one that will likely fix your problem.

Make sure you download BOTH files and follow the guide step by step. After the second install is complete, restart your PC. I am using a Quest 3 and Virtual Desktop. After the PC reboots, open Virtual Desktop and try to open the game. It will likely go to your Steam Home instead of actually starting the game. This IS EXPECTED! Since you're in your Steam Home, go ahead and click to run the game from your Steam Home. Select Sniper Elite VR and select Launch Game. Give it a minute, and you SHOULD BE in!
