Hey folks - Been a long time....

Thought that maybe with the time that's passed since this group started, and the amount of people who have moved to new studios and jobs, it might be nice to expand the group to include more of hte industry. New co-workers, old ones, etc.

If anyone wants admin rights to add folks, just giive me a buzz :)

Oct 29, 2009 @ 8:57pm
As a heads up, the next cp_reactor playtest will be on Wednesday the 18th. I'm not posting the event yet though, because I'll definitely have an updated version of the map to DL, and don't want to ♥♥♥♥ folks around by having them grab the wrong one, etc. I also might do one on a Sunday night a week or so before hand, as my clan usually stacks then :)
Oct 29, 2009 @ 8:54pm
I did dude - heh. 3 days in advance.
Oct 28, 2009 @ 4:48am
Can you schedule your playtests in the steam calendar thingy? I wanted to check it out but missed the message.
Oct 27, 2009 @ 7:40pm
Massive shout-out to the BTE crew for ensuring today's playtest had the numbers. You guys rock!

I cant believe how many people I've been playing with for so long all work in the games industry! Tis pretty cool stuff
Sep 25, 2009 @ 7:08am
By the way, if you haven't already, go check out http://www.48675488.xyz/groups/gamers4croydon . r1nce from Firemint has started it as a petition group to lobby for a better games classification framework. It's public to join, so if you've ever been frustrated by an OFLC "refusal of classification", go add yourself to it.
Sep 23, 2009 @ 5:54am
Its 75 now :D
Sep 23, 2009 @ 2:37am
Thanks for the invite!
Sep 23, 2009 @ 2:16am
yup. welcome r1nce and any other Firemint who have just joined us :D Our community is growing, only 1 more to get 75 members!
Sep 23, 2009 @ 2:06am
Speaking of servers, I've got one that I'd be happy to put a non-standard map in the rotation. 203.46.105.34:20000 (look for www.gamers4croydon.org )

I can't believe the CAOZ and BTE guys I;ve been playing with are who they are. I'm so ignorant!
Sep 22, 2009 @ 5:47pm
Lunchtime cp_reactor test session on my server tomorrow - Will post URL to download latest version of my map, plus server details, etc. Kickoff time @ about midday.
Sep 20, 2009 @ 6:56pm
There you go Noodles
Sep 20, 2009 @ 5:16pm
Latest version of my map can be DL'd here - http://www.filefront.com/14571243/cp_reactor_o25.rar

It's on the server address below.
Sep 20, 2009 @ 6:41am
yes plz. id like to be made an admin. we should really have a couple of regulars from each studio i suppose
Sep 18, 2009 @ 10:59pm
I could always use a few more capital letters in my nickname...
Sep 17, 2009 @ 8:25pm
Ok - I went and got myself a server as well. 202.60.82.133: 27017. Once I've uploaded my map etc, will make another post to let folks know, along with an email address for feedback :)
Sep 13, 2009 @ 6:31pm
Capitals are for noobs are they forskin?! Well!...i know about 1 million people who would disagree! Like Fresh Meat...capital bliss!
Sep 13, 2009 @ 4:47pm
Heh - I must say, big fan of STV demos... But more so you can see whole fronts shift / change / break, etc. The only real difference between pub play and clan play is that clans time their pushes in a co-ordinated manner to storm areas together, or fall back so they're fighting with the whole team alive... Looks great pulled back :)
Sep 13, 2009 @ 4:12pm
no SurgeonDiversion, you cant sourceTV your wet dreams
Sep 10, 2009 @ 3:18pm
If we get a server, we can use the server-side sourceTV demo recording, so instead of seeing the action from only one player's PoV, you can see the action from any angle in any part of the map. I've always wondered what it looks like when i go on a berserk saw rampage and get 5 crits in a row :P

Have you tried doing any recording on your server, infectedfury?
Sep 9, 2009 @ 11:50pm
I'll give you a capital Axtinguisher in the back
Sep 9, 2009 @ 11:32pm
its forcey NOT Forcey punk! Capitals are for Noobs!
Sep 9, 2009 @ 10:43pm
Then we can all be as satisfied with killing Forcey, Fresh Meat, 7Pillars, Cheshire, Traindog as i am whenever i melt their faces. Even though that rarely happens.
Sep 9, 2009 @ 10:39pm
Sounds good, Hey Noodles do you want to be an admin for this group?
Sep 9, 2009 @ 9:05pm
Nifty - Well, once we get more peeps in, let's see what folks reckon they'll acually need / use. If there's just a handful of us that actually want a server to test their maps, etc, maybe we can pitch in for your costs if that suits :)
Sep 9, 2009 @ 8:34pm
i already have a server.
its costing me a bout $70 a month for private 20 players. it also has hlXstats free with it.
Sep 9, 2009 @ 8:20pm
Pay Pal is a pretty good idea. I reckon we should wait a few days to get an idea of the breakdown of who's in the group, and we can figure out how to move the money then... Probably going to be easier if one person in each studio collects cash, and then they just make one payment, rather than a load of little micro-payments :)

We need to prod more Kromians and Torus folks to get in... Loads of players there not in here yet.
