We loved it when it was here, and we miss it now that it's gone. I don't think I'll ever have an experience anywhere close to the ones I had on this server again, but those experiences all the more special for it. Thanks for the memories, Axl.

A year and 3 months later, and I still can't believe you are gone. Thanks Axl for creating an awesome TF2 server. AxlsTf2 really was one of its kind, there was no other server like it that such a unique voting system, awesome mods, and a great community. When BCharvey died, I remember the regulars on the axlstf2 forum actually suggesting to create a donation for BC's family.

I just recently found out the server shut down. Its such a shame because it was one of my most favorite TF2 server in the entire game. The people and the custom maps really made the game for me. Nowadays I struggle even wanting to play the game because nobody plays on the community servers anymore. Besides that, thank you for the awesome memories on that server, I will never forget my time there.

I really miss the custom maps

Hey guys. Just need to put my 2 cents in. The community here has been the best I've ever encountered with minimal testing of the G.I.F.T. We all made it a positive atmosphere that was highly competetive and fun. Wins were typically hard won and well deserved and most of the time I wasn't sore about loosing because I tried my hardest and most of those around me did as well. I'll miss you all and am sad my kid wont get to experience what a great group of people you are. Have a beer in my name. Raise your glass. Cheers!

I came to this server around 2009 under my alt account, gyro. I remember Stovich, Blaenk (bonky), axl, bcHarvey, gazbo, porkchop, and Lamarr just to name a few. Like I said earlier, spending my summer nights on here practically defined my youth.
Thanks to the first generation admins like Stovich and blaenk for being hospitable, setting up random map votes, and for kicking or banning the trolls and setting up a civilized environment.
Thanks to the community for creating a competitve server to play on during those earlier years. I remember when Axl's server hosted the very first "pub" night with the regulars.hah I remember we had to lock the server, and shortly afterwards porkchop announced over his mic that Axl texted him on why the server was being "sabotaged" or something :)

THANKS to Axl for everything! I'm glad I donated whenever I had the chance. All good things come to an end but I am glad I was able to be a part of it.

I remember stumbling upon this server as a dumb thirteen year old back in 2008. The vote map instantly drew me in and over the years I would come to know and love this amazing community and server. Goodbye Axl's, I will never forget the fun I had here.

It has been fun everyone. The last get-together was great. I loved playing on this server during the 2500 - 3500 hours range. The community was great. The maps were great. I regret not donating when I had a few bucks to spend. Thanks all.

Well, it's over. I feel I joined a bit late in the party but I always loved this server and others like it. Thanks to valve, for making this wonderful game then making it so quickplay would kill servers.

Rest in peace Axl. All the great times we had for the past 5 years in our amazing little community before valve trashed tf2 to be no more. A real shame.

I can't hear anything about the Rams without immediately thinking of a guy on the other side of the country who ran a Team Fortress Classic server I played on every day when I was a kid. Sorry to see the server die.

I remember when I use to play TF2, back when there were silly little maps that had moving cars, teleporters to the skybox, platforms that were so high up that is was damn hard to get to them, and the community that was not consurned with being the best, and making all the "noobs" feel bad by taunting them with toxicness, fun were the days past, I am sadden to hear that this little group that i forgot I was a part of is now declined past the point of no return, and not because of lack of members, but because the community around the game has declined into a bunch of petty, "I'm better then you", whiny kids, and the fact that Valve made it too easy to forget about these little community servers by giving everyone a quick lane into the game.

I am sorry to see that this server is dying, if I had TF2 still installed, I would join in for one last mad scout dash around the map.
