warband has nothing. the mechanics are so utterly crap and easily exploited, the "competitive scene" is a bunch of cripples jerking each other off on forums.

Mount and Blade has a great community because people aren't forced into the spotlight 24/7 by any scale... It creates different community types that just start to want to constantly argue for no good reason. It generates cancer. It'll turn into PW on Warband for instance...

Its not that man, its just the fact that the community will be split into divisions. We're trying to avoid that. Sure competition would be great in the short term, but for the long term it will bring drama and hate between communities.

There should be no competition ♥♥♥♥. Events would be fine but competition would create a big border between the community. In addition mister Goku, there are a ♥♥♥♥ ton of players who arent part of clans and play casual and they're the best in the game.

Now also, if you're just talking about clan events? People do that all the time. I'm fine with that, just clan vs clan. But I hate that you compare it to CS:GO, which is not even close to the kind of image I have for Bannerlord.

This is the single stupidest idea ive ever heard. I don't care that im a moderator for the steam group and i shouldnt be saying this but honestly this is hella dumb. M&B is NOT supposed to be played like CS:GO or any other competitive game! Now if someone wants to make a competitive mod or something and you go on there and do all this ♥♥♥♥ im all for it. Just keep it out of the base game.

nw did die lol. Competitive gaming is what caused tensions between clans/regiments. While the games that are meant for team cooperation, clans work together instead of hating each other. Also in those games they don't have the fug doctrine.

I think what killed NW was not the competitve gaming, it was the
immense recruiting on public servers which scared off the casual gamers. The best thing would be special servers and events/matches with clansystem for competitive gamers and clanfree public servers and events with no clantag an no recruiting for fun/casual gamers.

TBH I agree with backfish, competitive M&B would be dumb. That's what killed NW. Let's stay away from clan systems because it causes tensions and drama. Only games like insurgency and CSGO where it's required to have a team to be the best.

In my opinion no ranking system but i could imagine that a price for the best player or the best clan of europe/NA would be really nice.
