So next week I will be undertaking a cross-country road trip in the United States with three of my mates. We will be travelling from Memphis, TN to Las Vegas, NV. Pretty much a straight line out west. So I am curious, any recommendations for our trip?

There are the obvious things that we have covered: gambling, alcohol, strippers, mandatory trip to In-N-Out Burger, gun range(s). But there will be room for interesting things on the way. So, if you want to meet up, drop a comment.

How to avoid being hacked:

On occasion, one or more members of our group here may have their accounts hacked. If this happens, that account will most likely send false websites to other members in an attempt to further the hacking incident. We of Xeriac have set up an effective system of warning one another in case any of us receive such false messages. I'm creating this post now to assist that system.

The following are ways to protect your account from hackers:
1). If you receive a link from a person, and you have ANY doubt about the security of the link, we recommend checking said link against the link shown here.

That is the REAL URL for the Steam Community. If the link you have does not perfectly match that URL, do not use the link.
2). If you receive a link that is proven false by the above process, PLEASE leave the name of the sender in a comment below. This allows all members of XRC to be aware of a hacked account as soon as it appears. Thank you.
3). Change your password often, and do so immediately if you suspect you have been hacked.

We thank you for any assistance you can give to help deter hackers from our midst.

Hello fellow Xeriac members. I regret to inform you that I will be leaveing Xeriac for good and handing down full ownership to Rocky. I have become extremely fatigued from running clans and I have already disbanned another clan I was previously running called ccE. Now it comes to my attention that you guys don't need me. It is kinda sad that I'm leaving, but really...nothing will change. I have just grown tired of this position as leader, this position as "the boss". I don't want to lead anymore...I just want to have fun like you guys :). But anyway, when I realized that you guys are moving on without me I decided that let's just cut the old bonds. The very least I could do is lessen the baggage you will be carrying on this tretcherous journey through the Steam Community. I'm sure eventually Rocky will feel the same about leading. It's not all it's cut out to be. Maybe this is a breakthrough for me... Maybe now that I understand leading clans more...I can do better next time. Yes...I said it...next time!

Xeriac's First Clan Battle -- A Victory

The aformentioned event did happen a while ago, but I'd been too gutted with schoolwork to have been able to make a good report on it. I figured I'd been holding this news back too long, so I've decided to finally write this out while working on my physics homework. Ain't life grand?

Our clan successfully secured a win last week in a versus match against the .:2A2F:. clan in a game of Left 4 Dead 1. Guardian, Octo, myself, and eventually Dragon gave the clan both sides of the hammer in a hard and hurtful nailing with a few clever pounces, tongues, booms and Tank-smashing. Our loving leader and white-man-Kanye-West Graphix would have filled in for the late Dragon had his harddrive not lacked the game entirely. Give him a rap to the head when you see him for that. Been having lots of fun with half-life over there, eh Graphy? Say hi to G-man for me >:P

.:2A2F:.'s requested a rematch, and only time and Guardian will tell when it happens. Until then, if you do see Octo, Guardian or Dragon about, give them a congratulatory applause for their unexpected show of skill, and Graphix another knock on the head. I don't require it myself, as I'm nose-deep in homework right now..and have to get back to work on it.

Who knows, maybe this is a sign we need to game together in versus matches more often. We'll see what the future holds.

One last thing, Froogle's birthday is coming up, the 27th of September which the man of honor will not be around for as he's restricted from his computer for personal reasons and isn't expected to be around for. He's expected to be gone until the end of September or early October, so do show your respects when the day comes. Xeriac's been dull without him, our dear gnomey mascot.

And it's all good news, thankfully.

I'm proud to announce that Octo has returned to us after the hacking fiasco, and that Xeriac has been sealed off from any hacking threats..for now. Remember to keep an eye out for any suspicious messages. Everyone is suspect to them, so stay keen folks.
