@rogueranger416, yes :) and you need hl2 to make maps for Gmod right! Just go buy it, its a pretty nice game :)

Yes, tf2 has hl2 textures & models so in a way you can make gmod maps.

all i have is the tf2 hammer, but i want to make gmod maps, is that possible?

How's everyone doing? I'm new to Hammer, and I was wondering if someone could help me make my first map. Nothing too serious, I just want to get used to the basics before I could move on to more complex things.

I can do custom sounds for anyone who needs it. I can also do music.
