I could point the contridictory & bring up the fact that all the factions in Fallout 4 are neither evil or good; since there is no real effect of having a faction take over the commonweath. :3

Such as all you do is blow up the enemy headquarters & have thier units scattered across the wasteland. Inturn the only real action that has been accomplished is the mental ideal set that they are apparently powerful & do not annex territory anywhere in the commonwealth or out bring any form of wealth/poverty.

In conclution your son is not necessarily the villian of the game; but simply just another bistandard entity who happens to be a head of a faction.
