Assalamu alaykum.💚Today is the day of Ashura. The day we are advised to fast, alone or with the day before or with after.
It is history is as it goes: 🌅
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to Madeenah and saw the Jews fasting on the day of Ashura. He said, ‘What is this?’ They said, ‘This is a righteous day, it is the day when Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemies, so Moosa fasted on this day.’ He said, ‘We have more right to Moosa than you,’ so he fasted on that day and commanded [the Muslims] to fast on that day.”
(Reported by al-Bukhaari, 1865)
Its virtue is: ✨
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“For fasting the day of Ashura, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.”
(Reported by Muslim, 1976).

An-Nu`man bin Bashir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said,
‘the supplication (du'a) is worship.

سُبُّوُحٌ، قُدُّوسٌ، رَبُّ المَلاَئِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ | Subbooh, Quddoos, Rabbul-Malaa'ikati war-Rooh
All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit (Jibreel)

Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me.

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira:

"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."

The believers are only those who, when Allaah is mentioned, feel a fear in their hearts and when His Verse
s [this Qur’an] are recited unto them, they [i.e. the Verses] increase their Faith; and they put their trust in their Lord [Alone]. They perform the prayer and spend out of that We have provided them. [Surah Al-Anfaal’ Aayaat 2-3]

1.A lot of Salawat
2. Clean ourself before going to the mosque
3. Read Al-Quran
4. Go to mosque earlier. I go something like 30 minutes earlier so i can complete 3 surah ( 10 early and ending of Surah Kahf/ Al-Mulk and Waqiah before the azan.
5. Do tahiyatul masjid prayer ( Don't sit before do this)
6. Give Salam when enter masjid
7. Some sleep before go to masjid so i will not miss the khutbah listening.
8. Drink a lot of plain water.

Many more just this come of my mind..
Kinda a routine for me.

9.Sedekah/Donate some money to masjid
10. Take first saff and stay there
