I´m really interested how the new FSX compares to P3D? Anyone else?
Jul 31, 2019 @ 11:52pm
I just got P3D, and it looks amazing, can't wait to flight to Toncontin!

So true Spike2135, however some do in some cases from Justflight.com .. it ticks me off BC I have spent so much $$ on FSX and addons

If you are happy with FSX then stay with it. But if you want to try something new then P3D.
In theory no, FSX aircraft will not work from V4.x onward because P3D is 64-bit.

why this game isn't on steam man it should be on steam
Oct 16, 2016 @ 11:09am
who knows, right? it's taken something around 10 years for FSX to get on steam. That being said LM seem to be more progressive than MS... maybe with enough encouragement they might consider it. But, in my experience, few people on steam want it, so it really isn't worth it unless the numbers are there.

is P3D ever gonna come to steam store?
May 24, 2016 @ 6:26am
:steamhappy:I can sale 2.5 version.License !!!!! mmm..

I most certainly believe that, with my tests, putting the load on the GPU improves FPS a whole lot. Correct me if I'm wrong, I just want to confirm that hardware tessellation works wonders on anything that has a GPU.

Glad I found this flight sim. Manually tweaked for my low-end 2014 laptop with Intel HD 4400 I can still run it with default scenery settings and hardware tessellation while having 45 FPS in my favorite A2A Cessna 172R. Of course, all the eye candy (except scenery and autogen), shadowing and anti-aliasing are turned off, but man, it's better than FSX in optimization terms.

In fact I'm replacing X-Plane 10 with P3D v3.2 thanks to me seemingly needing less resources to still have decent framerates compared with XP10.

Yes is it. Feel free to comment or begin discussions etc

Still active?
Jan 17, 2016 @ 9:28am
I bought P3D V3 tried it. Do I think it's better than V2.x? Yes, much better.
Unlike V2.x I can run all the setting on max, in a city, during a thunderstorm and maintain 30 fps. I couldn't get anywhere near that kind of performace before. But try it for yourself, and leave a comment if you got gains.

Yeah P3D, as with any good flight sim, is a complete PC resource hog. CPU heavy, GPU heavy and data access heavy. Nothing taxes a PC like a flight sim. That being said LM have done a great job in optimising P3D. This new V2.5 runs many times faster than 2.3. ......rumor has it that P3D V3 will be fully 64 bit :)

Nice Thanks Spike. At the moment, I am just configuring my computer and cfg's to get the most experience out of the sim. I can't even get multiplayer to work yet : P
May 17, 2015 @ 9:39am
Yup still going. This group will be active as long as P3D is. :)
May 11, 2015 @ 6:05pm
Hello all, my name is Josh, and I just want to say hello as just walked into this group. Now that my presence is presented, I was just wondering about the activity of this group. I haven't used steam recently, but I was wondering if this Group is still active. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to meeting all you fellow pilots. Cheers : )
