I played RS back in 2006, I can't remember much about it but I'll post what I remember
Mine Iron and Coal in Al-Kharid, or mine Iron south-east of Varrock, or mine Coal in the mining guild, Mine rune in the wilderness when you're able to
Fish in Draynor until you can fish lobs in Karamja, using Falador Teleport, then get into the Fishing guild ~80 to fish Sharks
Woodchop east of lumbridge until willows in draynor, then stay in draynor or move to Yews in Camelot (or was it Catherby?)
Training combat on the goblins, then al-kharid guards, I forgot what you do next but eventually you're supposed to go to lesser demons, then green dragons
Thieving is mostly pickpocketing until you can steal from the chest ardougne, or steal from the stalls.
For money, I'd recommend High Alching a lot of Adamantite equipment, since in the real economy, the high alch price is close to the actual price.
