RustClans possibly reopening!

Hello guys,

I have a big announcement to make. I am considering reopening the server! As you will know if you are still part of this group. RustClans was one of the biggest and best servers in it's 3 months lifespan, we were getting 80+ online players during peak times. When it comes to mods and managing servers I am one of the most competent admins in this game.

But I need to know whether people are still interested in the server reopening.
I got back into the game recently after taking a long break and it is making a lot of progress and in terms of updates, lots of new stuff has been added etc.

If you are intererested in this proposal then I have a few questions for you...

1) Modded or Vanilla?
2) Keep the old "RustClans" name or go with a new one?
3) Will you play?
4. Do you have any unique ideas that could be implemented?

Server closed until further notice

I am closing the server until further notice. I *may* reopen it soon, I may not... The reason for this decesion is because I don't like running a server when it has small amount of players.The "RustClans" brand has done well for a few months but then the player base declined in May and has not recovered since Thursdays update. And for people who don't believe this server was popular, here's a screenshot of the server list a month ago. Yep that is RustClans right under OptimusRust...

P.S I have big plans for an upcoming game called "Ark: Survival Evolved" so if anyone is buying that game when its released on June 2nd let me know!

Hapis Island

Who's ready to try out Hapis Island?

RustClans will be giving it a try for the first time after tonights update!

And we will be one of the only EU servers with low gathering rate to use it. Nearly all of the other EU servers have ridiculous gathering rates of x20 etc...

For those of you who don't know what Hapis Island is. It's a hand crafted map designed by facepunch (non-procedurally generated) which has been vastly improved over the last few weeks.

Temporary decrease in population

Ok I have recently noticed some people saying the server is dying or something to that effect, that is not the case. I will admit there has been a decrease in population over the last 2 weeks, the server went from being full daily to 40 members daily and now around 20 players daily over the last few days. I think the reason for this is that some people are bored of the current map (we've used the same one for the last 3 weeks) but I believe they will be back after the next wipe.

RustClans has accomplished a lot since it opened in March and we are not going anywhere. I have just renewed the server for another month. I have some great plans I will be implementing shortly that will make us the best modded server once again. So stay tuned and I hope to play with some of the people who left again soon!

If anyone is wondering why they cannot connect it's because the server is currently being attacked by 2 hackers that I banned. It will be back up shortly.

Since MadSkiLLZ owns the RustClans server, I have decided to give him the steam group to go along side his server name. I have yet to decide if I will make a new group or stay apart of this one.
