@Amadeus: Strong advice: pick up a copy of the Vancouver Back Road Map Book. Shows and describes all the hiking trails, fishing lakes, and navigable rivers in the area. You will want to be careful if you go up into the mountains; people don't always realize how far away things are, and end up getting lost and needing to be rescued. And avoid the Grouse Grind; it would be a lovely hike but it's overrun with fitness nuts.

I'm mostly interested in nature, so trail hiking would be awesome. The suspension bridge and what lies beyond seem pretty exciting.

@Amadeus - depends what you're into. There's definitely good trail hiking in North Vancouver, Capilano and Lynn Canyon areas, for instance. The sea wall is a great urban walk / bike, and Stanley Park is also full of trails. Pacific Spirit Park out by UBC is good that way also.

As of right now, I don't think we'll be having our weekly insurgency event tonight, having server problems! Matchmaking doesn't seem to be working correctly, but im pretty sure I have the main server config set up the right way, they way its been for a while now. I've contacted support, ill make another comment with updates for anyone whos interested!
