How's it going guys?
Danny here, and Liam's here too but we're not really here because this is text.

Soon enough we will be running an event on our Rust server, where we want as many of you guys to take part as possible! It should be a lot of fun, and we'll also be making a video for the channel at the same time! Can't say too much at the moment, but think Rust meets Helms Deep...

Hey guys and girls, time for a quick update!

First up, we now have our own Rust server! It's "medieval" to keep things a bit more interesting.
You can join it by just typing client.connect 173.199.73.70:28036 into your console, or finding 'TheGrumpySpanner' in the modded list.

Secondly, we've just made a couple of t-shirts for Rust, check 'em out:

2v2 CS:GO Tournament!

What's this about?

Sev3no came up with the idea to host a small 2v2 tournament on CSGO between friends. It won't be anything huge, but if this first competition is successful then we'll definitely host more with a proper prize pool, MVP rewards and more people.

How will it work?

There will be 16 players in total, competing in 8 teams of 2 people. When everyone has signed up we will select 8 players (using a random picker) one at a time to be team leaders. Each team leader will be able to pick their second player.

Each team will be placed into either Group A or Group B where they will play each of the other 3 to be one of the top two teams in their group. The bottom two will be eliminated. The top two from each group will pass through to the semi-finals. The two semi-final winners will become our finalists.

How will the games work?

When the teams are formed we will work out the "Team Rank Number" (TRN) for each of them.
For example, the Silver 1 rank number would be 1, Global Elite would be 18 - and anything inbetween (LE-15, DMG-14, GN2-8...). We will add the two numbers corresponding to the ranks of each team-member together to work out that team's TRN.

Each game will be a best of 3, and each match will be best of 18 (unlike best of 30 in normal competitive). The team with the lowest TRN will get first choice of map and the side they want to start on. The second map will be the other teams choice. If the game makes it to the third map, the map and starting side will be randomly selected.

We're still thinking about the possibility of prizes, but for now assume that there won't be any - or it won't be anything huge if there is. This is just for fun, not for profit. We will however be noting down how many MVP stars each player gets and how many rounds a team wins - for bragging rights.

When is it?

First we need to see how many people are interested! If we can get all 16 people then we'll probably try to do this over the month of June. We're expecting the entire thing to last about a month - that's 3 weeks of group stages and 1 week of finals - and we want to do it before the summer holidays.
