Yup, all advanced settings off for video, no change ... Must be my computer however there is no lag whats so ever on Brink or in any game i play for that matter. So it could be the game itsself. I don't even know.

Put all advanced graphic options off, I use that setting all time for fast moving. Maybe this solve your problem...

Chris, yes I have in the in game console and it doesn't help so i turned it back on ...

My nvida gaming chip is up to date as me and Chris have confirmed aha, I haven't tried ATI/AMD software updates. Purely because I have no idea what there are. And yes if you want to look at my screenshots then it is a pixelated black kind of mist that appears over the screen. If anyone would like to help then feel free to do so. Thanks :)

have you tried to turn of the shadows in the ingame-console ?
which means not only make low shadows

Try "Verify integrity of game cache..." for Brink, in BRINK Properties - LOCAL FILES

Ooooohhhh hey I had a problem similar to the one you;re describing. It was especially apparent in darker levels; patches of colour would have a pixelated black 'haze'. I searched innumerable threads and tried all sorts of fixes including the ATI patch to no avail.

I can't say what actually fixed it in the end but I know that I tried reinstalling the steam backup copy of Brink and the problem persisted. I then tried redownloading and installing Brink to no avail. I haven't fdisked and formatted my computer in a long time so I know it didn't requre anything as drastic as that. I think I used ccleaner to trace all registry and file system entries pertaining to Brink then installed the latest ATI/AMD drivers (with clean install toggle option) and hey presto!

Hi all, a friend needs your help,

Migraine Corp has the problem, that random black texturs appear like in his screenshots...

What we tried:

-checked if the graphic-card driver is uptodate

-turned shadows ingame off

-reinstalled Brink

Has anybody else an idea ?
Would be really nice if someone could help him :)

Hey great group title! It's uplifting to see that there are still some passionate Brinkers out there. I've yet to find another TFPS that can hold a candle to Brink.
