The website above is an in-progress site that lists both active and inactive private servers that have become available to the community at large. As mentioned, I am an individual responsible contributing to the servers Rebirth and Thunderspy and, as such, have a bias to recommend these servers. The former attempts to bring as traditional, original game experience as when servers shut down during Issue 24 and the latter introduces a myriad of new, custom content such as powers like Psychokinetic Assault and Wind Control, costume pieces such as Freakshow components and asymmetrical gloves, and level-uncapped contact mission availability.

Hello! I am GM Normal Guy of the City of Heroes private servers Rebirth and Thunderspy and I've come to elaborate in detail about the resurgence of City of Heroes. Some time starting in April of '19, groups of fans were able begin reconstruction of leaked source-code to bring the game back into fruition after having been unavailable to the public for seven years. As of today, numerous servers allow fans such as ourselves to play our favorite game once more - for free.
