uhmm guys why is the server not recording our strange today? is it maintenance day?

@uhh umm yea cool, I think, the server owner is planning something with multiple strange leveling servers, but its up to him, if he do that or not.

@[ ✰ |>Bunny<| ✰ ], server in old days had really crazy leveling for mediguns (like 30 ubers per sec), but that lagging strange leveling for others, so we slowed down that to (2 ubers per second). Same with other overpowered weapons like Miniguns, SMGs or pistols. In last month we even balanced fire rate for this overpowered weapons like miniguns, pistols, SMGs ...... We still testing other weapons to buff them or balance them for strange leveling.

The Server is Good in all but the problem.is the amount of people joining and farm their weapons , but what i really love was the older one, the one with the sanji picture still on the side saying enjoy the server, damn good old days i farmed my rifle, medi gun and other stuff on that old server with no problem but now damn alot of things are popping like crazy

@seb™ Thank you for the clarification my friend, but I'd also really love to ask about the possibility of there being multiple strange leveling servers and less players in each server maybe 12 players 4 of them bots to reduce the load on the server and help players get down with leveling faster

Hi @uhh umm yea cool, the main problem is outdated Source Engine, its just doesn't handle that much kills on bots. And there is amount of kills cap, so even if owner joins more bots, there will be a bigger lag for strange leveling (you will kill the bot 100 times, but only 25 kills are registered on your weapon and this already happening). About bots: they aren't disconnecting, they crash with error "Server connection timed out" or "Cbuf_AddTextWithMarkers: buffer overflow", and we can't do nothing about this, this happening because the Source Engine is outdated, like I said. So owner made something, to join that bots back if they crash, so bots working normally. About map, its up to server owner.

Hi, I'm honestly a bit curious but is this server: "2.56.99.52:27015" associated with you lads in anyway, because I've noticed that the bots use the same Icons and usernames of bots, and server plugins that were being used in the server u guys runned but shut down a few months ago..
I ain't here to snitch but if you guys are associated with that sever it'd be really great if you increase the amount of bots that run in the server and fix the bug of the bots reconnecting and disconnecting at random times..

P.s I'd really love to know if the original cp_gorge strange leveling server would ever come back

This may be caused by the following:

1. Assist kills don't count towards strange items. If multiple players are farming on one bot, the less likely your kills will be counted.

2. Something related with the Game Coordinator, or GC for short. There seem to be a max output of kills a server can send to the GC over a certain amount of time. For example, if all players combined are sending kills over a certain threshold, the kills over the threshold will simply not register. I don't really understand this behavior, but there's that.

A solution is to make more servers and add more bots separated over them, but I currently don't have the resources for that.

i am here to report some problem on the server its been 2 days ive notice this problem, my strange stats isnt moving or being recorded. it takes 4-9 hit to the bot to even get 1 kill i notice this aswell everytime i stay longer on the server the less kill i get please feed back

The Strange and Private leveling servers have been down since 9. September 2020 at 03:13 CEST.

All of us admins have not received any direct news from the owner yet, so only time will tell. I do expect the servers to be up and running again at one point in time.

@Ruka Sarashina both the Strange Leveling and Private Leveling servers are all up and running (As I am writing this, the Strange Leveling server is currently full). Could you maybe elaborate on your issue?

@Fxde, that area where is that bot is set by me, so bot isn't stuck. I set the spawn of that bot here on purpose.
Info: Owner of this server bots have set spawn on ground.
My bot have set spawn on that higher area.

can yall fix the bot that is stuck respawn in the corner of the strange lvl area its up in the corner of the lvling area and it respawn there all the time please fix

@Drunk Bird, its lagging the strange kills for other players. When instant uber was enabled, then normal players need to kill bot 10 times to get 2 kills on his strange weapon for example.

Please bring it back

It was down for 6 hours for some unknown reason. It's back up again. :)

If there is an admin see this there is a problem with the strange farm
none of the bots will spawn and there is just one afk guy how wont leave and so none of the bots are spawning

Both itemtest and slaughter_event had griefing issues. A new map (cp_gorge) and plugin should ensure to prevent griefers from obstructing levelers. Seeing Idlebots crash is normal, which happens from time to time. They usually restart automatically within a minute.

So the strange farming map only has 1 bot since the other bot can't be placed to be horribly murdered. is it possible to get the map back to the itemtest map

They are back now. Idle bots stuck in spectate is a bug. I should get that fixed.

I can't make you invulnerable to self damage and throwing you into the air. What I did do is disable infinite caber usages, making you only self damage / throwing you into the air once. This should solve your issue.

Any possibility of making the caber not do self damage and not throw you in the air?

Alright, then problem was with bots, I reconnect them and now kills count on your strange weapon.

je veux pas me faire thomaer, the problem is, when steam servers are offline then TF2 Coordinator and Item server is probably offline too. This time you cannot change your weapons and kills doesn't count on your strange weapons / scores doesn't count on your strange cosmetics. If that happened again, try reconnect on server, if still kills/scores doesn't count, then try restart TF2 and wait few minutes. You can check status about Steam and TF2 there [steamstat.us].

m/, the bots have max health set to 5 and they spawn with only 5 HP, so it isn't possible level up strange part: Allied healing done on that bots. If you see me on server ask me for that leveling and I lower my HP, so you will be able level up that strange part.

What about adding a place for blue meds where you will be able to level-up your allied healing done part? I mean the safe spot that red cant shot through but you are able to heal bot.

dono, command !rof is for changing player rate of attack speed. But only admins can use that. Players cannot use that command, because server may crash if some players used that with high value.

I don't have the money and resources to get more bots. I can host some temporary private leveling with bots in exchange for payment, but that's something else entirely.

The idle bots players do crash every now and then. I've made a program that automatically reconnects them if they crash / disconnect for whatever reason. They usually reconnect within 60 seconds. I hope this answers your question.
