Just an idea: Put the time when sending announcements. Often I get to my computer and have no idea how old the alert is so I skip connecting in.

I realize now that there's a bug in Steam that makes an event pop up twice when you set it for "Now". Wasn't your fault, sorry.
My current computer can't play NS2 but I'll join your pugs some day.

@Wiwiweb While we try not to spam announcements, like 5 in 1 minute, this group was created SPECIFICALLY to fill up the pick up games, which do (usually) happen multiple times per day. So the events are a necessary thing, and if we find one person who is consistenly spamming events in a manner that the admins agree is too much, then we'll take care of it.

Sometimes multiple people send out an event and this is usually just a lack of communication between the moderators. We'll try to be better in that regard.

Could you guys stop spamming announcements? Just because no one came the first time you called doesn't mean they'll be convinced if you make 5 more calls in 1 minute. Actually it's more likely to make people leave.
