asus is known for overheating and honestly i bought an acer with a 1 gig video 17 inch and 6 gig ram and QUADCORE for under 600 and sold it for 600 LOL

asus is pretty good too, but i agree, i will start lookin up some laptops, and i will get yoodle to help me since he is pretty damn good at finding good deals

Let's get an idea of what we want to get, so we can set a target. I suggest Acer as a starting point, they're pretty much the best price/performance for laptops.

also we need to figure out when to have this event, and there will be no exchange of money until we can get all of the funds together to get richard a laptop...just in case this falls through :/
