You know, I probably shouldn't complain because I don't really actively do anything with the group these days, and if it helps the overall group that's great.. But are we not overdoing it on the events a little bit? I feel like I am getting 2-3 event notes a day, and sometimes for the same events. It's less likely to make me want to participate and more likely to make me want to just leave the group. Which I really would prefer not to do :|

@Cornelius: The TGDCL doesn't generally mess around with mods, so it's unlikely you'll find someone to take you up on your offer. You're still welcome to try, though.

@Youngoli: Unfortunately, no. Having a pirated copy means you won't be able to access Game Spy's lobby servers, the system through which matches are organized. I'm sure the Gold version of Dawn of War is dirt cheap now, though... Give it a look!

@Zeeknot: I have already done so personally. There are a lot of cool things about that mod... Unfortunately, it is too broken in its current state to be used for any kind of fair competitive play.

I'd prefer something not *balanced* in accordance to 4th/5th edition, varying policies on Forgeworld units and TT mechanics that make little sense in an RTS

We should look into the Firestorm Over Kronus mod.

Sorry for my absence everyone I had to make a trip up to Canada to both march in the Victoria day parade and be at a memorial. Needless to say it was a long week but I should be back to hosting games on Sunday night at 8pm pst.

@Vettir: I have been taking a break from hosting for the past couple days, so that might have something to do with it. That's part of the reason I'm looking for officers.

You should be able to beat Insane opponents easy. The computer uses the same tactics every time just about. and you can generally push after their first rush and turtle on a strategic point near their base and wipe the floor with them.

@Flavius_Aetius: No, our server isn't called that. Generally the room's name is "Fat Guys" and the password is "/tg/". Pretty simple, really. As for playing online, don't feel you need to brush up too much before you join us; we're all pretty bad anyway. Regardless, playing against the computer, no matter the difficulty, will never be comparable to a human opponent.

Hey, just reinstalled the game and I have two questions. First is our groups server called "wetgerkin" if so what's the password? Second is playing on hard good enough to prepare for online gameplay? I've tried Harder but the computer gets too many damn resources at that level...

But everything's organized from the group chatroom
