Similar to Shadow, I was feeling nostalgic and now here I am, ecstatic to see some version of Sillyzone still exists. It's pretty incredible to think that you all first entered my life 20+ years ago, and man, what an impact this place made. Sillyzone/Mona was my first real community, and I've been fortunate to find many others since. Y'all gave me a home when I didn't realize I needed one and helped me see all the ways that one can live a happy life. What a goofy place that was, who would have known it'd have been so formative.

It's cheesy, but I'll never forget this place or the OGs who built it. Truly, you all made a world of difference and I can't thank ya enough for it.

Love how people who spent time back then somehow found the group page and comment. Good to see it.

Was feeling extremely nostalgic tonight and went searching for old Monastery vids that eventually led me back here.

Looking back I can't believe how simple and fun my times with you all were. The chapel was my home during my middle school to early high school years, and because of that I learned to use a semicolon in a build script before I did in a sentence. The endless hours of scripting, building, and competing to create the coolest builds is likely what sparked my interested in development and has led me to become a software engineer today.

Seeing familiar usernames trickle comments on the group here really put a smile on my face. So to anyone that remembers me: yes, I've funnily never changed my name or profile image, and know that I've grown up to do well for myself and am happy.

I hope you are having a fantastic life yourself <3

this server was the end of my childhood and the beginning of my teenage years, and i love it and everyone, i still speak with players i met over a decade ago and I wouldnt of met them without it. also ptits if ur reading this come home

I remember a time Bob tricked me (NDA) into visiting farmhammer.com thinking I'd get admin on the Mona.

Any chance The Monastery will take up Hl2DM server again, as it was? Really miss the good old times I had on that server.

Oh, and i forgot to mention in my other post; i'd host everything for free. I have space on my servers for everything you need.

Oh and for the paranoid here's some proof of times on the SZ.

- My favorite thing to do was to jetpack around the large outdoor arena on freakle3, and taunt Avatar-X to hit me with rockets.
- I remember an old quote cptkirk once said, i forget the beginning though: ... pooped a lond in the urnel
- That time Avatar-X was selling an in-game model on Ebay, i was the person who won. I stupidly put an auto-bid in and it was Nixon i believe who kept bidding me up to drive the price up. I eventually stopped at my max bid which was $90. I paid Avatar-X in person at the train station in downtown Toronto. My model was that really short smiling guy with the floating head, hands and feet.

I can also host the website too (i have another dedicated server for it) and i have another Xenforo license that i'm not currently using.

@Hedkase, i might be able to help with server hosting. I'm currently renting 2 dedicated server computers (one in east coast of canada and the other in france). The servers have full ddos protection and server control panel to start/stop/restart servers. I'd be open to hosting anything and i really do mean anything you want.

Hi, i used to go by the name "Rotten Flesh" back in the SZ tfc days and by "Chaos Llama" in the sven coop days. I started playing svencoop again lately and remembered the Monastery.

HEY EVERYBODY! Looking to see if anyone's willing to host a server/work on a dll to get a server going for us again. Doesnt have to be tf2, it can be old school tfc, it could be hl2dm, hell, i just recently got sven co-op again, so that'd be cool. Also, i just got rust. Who else plays what and who wants to play soemthing together soon?

Or maybe a way to play old maps in HL2DM or TF2? I also liked those maps where you're tiny and everything is big. ♥♥♥♥ was so fun.

Is there any way we could play TF2 and do all the cool and secret ♥♥♥♥ like we did in SZ? Anyone know how to get it all to work or have the old maps? Like the halloween one and others. Some you could only get into secret spots with the jetpack or grapple hook.
