Officer Chauvin is innocent. There's no evidence he intentionally caused Mr. Floyd's death. He experienced a medical problem (Heart attack) while restrained. The restraint didn't cause the heart attack. The toxicology report concluded he had drugs on board along with pre-existing conditions likely to contribute to his death. Officer Chauvin summoned aid as soon as he realized Mr. Floyd was unresponsive. The first autopsy concluded there was no asphyxiation or strangulation. I support this finding on the basis you can't strangle someone in the position he was restrained in. Furthermore, he stated 16 times, "I can't breathe" which wouldn't be possible if he was asphyxiated. The second autopsy was requested by the family and certainly would be bias. Lastly, he died at the hospital almost one hour later. I understand how the video looks. But the untrained eye often perceives the most desired outcome.
