TL;DR; PEAK, PLAY THE DEMO THEN BUY IT!

Chat, this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ peak.

The combat makes you get into such a flow state where you wipe board after board before your enemies can even attack you, or maneuver them to have them take down each other. You also have the ability to slow down and lock in or fall into that flow state, and the game encourages both! The controls felt clunky to begin with but as you play they start to become natural. This game is a really interesting combat puzzler. I 100% recommend it at full price. Definitely already one of my favourite rogue-likes.

I'd also love if this game got a multi-player DLC where maneuver moves don't do friendly fire(, or they could,) and it'd be like a sick duo fighter like covering each other's flanks. I think the way it would work is it does a que like the enemies and it holds the turn until they both commit an action, and the player that first chose their action can update it until the second player confirms their attack; This would keep the non-time sensitive thinking and encourage communication before they hastily do something or enter a flow state together. I really think it'd work and be so fun.
