After so many years of development hell, Pragmata is genuinely one of the most amazing starts for a brand new Capcom IP in such a long time. This game is some grade-A cinema from the amazing gameplay to the absolute wholesome and heartwarming narrative, to the point where I basically 100% everything I could with it just to get more.

The gameplay seems obtuse at first but once you really understand it the combat is super addicting to play around with. Moving around and shooting / hacking felt perfect which can be very difficult when you got a heavy player character and trying to balance feeling weighty but also fast enough where it doesn't become a hinderance. Hacking enemies felt like one of the best ways to implementing a sort of "minigame" mid-fight I've ever seen, requiring you to solve small puzzles before inflicting one. Bouncing from this to regular shooting felt so seamless that I easily locked into an amazing flow state fighting a tons of enemies.

I agree on the story being simple with not a lot of groundbreaking twists and turns but sometimes that's just what you need. Capcom went for a found family narrative and made sure as hell to hammer in on that emotional journey. Every moment from the high octane set pieces to the grounded small yet cute scenes between the two leads had me scavenging to see everything I can. The Hugh and Diana family dynamic seriously carried the whole game.

Easily one of my GOTYs of 2026 and we're not even half way through it yet. The Capcom 2026 generational run is moving at full force and I'm all here for it.

Finished Romeo is a Dead Man recently and I'll just say while there's a lot of things I love about the game there's still a ton more that ended up getting on my nerves.

Firstly the game's insane style and narrative was a big highlight for me. Coming from all his other titles, this really felt like Suda51's mash up of everything he loves from the surreal insane story beats to the awesome and hilarious character moments (and loads of wrestling and anime references). There's a lot of cool callbacks to early titles like the obvious No More Heroes and even stuff like Silver Case and Killer 7 which I did find enjoyable too. From the characters to even the menus, the style of the game is through the roof and it really helped in getting me to finish the game just to see what other crazy stuff will be thrown my way.

The story, while it works and is rather straight forward, ends up having an issue with a lot of unneeded fluff that hinders the story and unfortunately not giving enough time to build on Romeo's and Juliet's relationship and effectively their characters. Sure we have cutscenes that show how they meet and have dates at the diner but aside from that there's barely anything there that tells who they are. The concept of a space FBI agent going through time sounds like a cool story concept but feels like it didn't really pan out fully within this game. SUDA51 loves to throw in vague and crazy ideas / plot points in his titles as his signature style but here it felt like a lot of the story felt haphazardly throw in without much explanation or correlation to the main story. The time travel part didn't even feel like it was that important aside from just changing the setting for instance. Again, the narrative is serviceable but even as a SUDA51 fan myself I found some of the story a bit too nonsensical. They did have some awesome scenes though like this sick music video near the end of the game.

Gameplay wise is where most of my gripes come from. Romeo is a Deadman at first feels like a good evolution of the combat systems built on in No More Heroes. You have your basic combos, different weapons, a cool super move with Bloody Summer, and even the addition of a summon system with bastards. It all feels satisfying enough to play but nothing really too spectacular. After a few hours you've already seen most of how the combat loop will play out. The combat feels too sluggish for my liking and you end up getting stuck in an animation and swarmed by enemies all the time. Normally games like No More Heroes don't have the most in-depth combat either but least in those games you aren't put in long stretches of enemy hallways and bad level and puzzle design.

Which speaking of that, god the puzzles really started to get on my nerves. The levels in this game does this annoying thing where you have to go to certain Subspace sub-levels in order to unlock a door or reach somewhere in the main level to proceed. Sounds fine but then you CONSTANTLY have to keep going in and out of these sub-levels because you have to get multiple keys or the goal location is hidden behind like 3 of the sub-levels. This really brings the game to a halt cause you also have to deal with a rather long loading screen EVERY time you enter and exit one. Even then the sub-levels are (while visually cool) real annoying to navigate as well since it has such a confusing wireframe design that figuring out where to go becomes a chore. Genuinely if they got rid of the whole puzzle subspace aspect and kept to a simple exploration through a set level it would make the game so much better.

The bosses were probably the best part of the game with some genuinely awesome boss designs and (alright) gimmicks. The music as well is a huge highlight too with some of the boss themes like Fused Reanimated being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bangers. And again the style of the game is absolutely insane. But overall I feel like this game has so much potential but is held back by a lot of jank and time to cook for its gameplay. It's by no means a terrible game and I'd recommend it if you love No More Heroes or other SUDA51 works but just know that its still a game with a good amount of flaws but definitely one that's filled with a great amount of soul.

I'd say I would give it a reasonable 6.5 - 7/10 at best.

After all the patches and updates, Hades 2 is finally out and it sure was worth the wait. There's been many changes from the first game such as the new arsenal of unique weapons, new systems like Arcana and such that help change up runs, dungeons are more uniquely designed and varied, and overall there's a ton more content to sink into. The visuals and soundtrack are absolutely fantastic and easily one of Supergiant's best works they've done which is already an achievement given how amazing the first game was in this as well.

But at the same time since this is a sequel to an amazing rouguelite (and one of my favorites of all time), I kind of wish there was more to differentiate it from the original. Playing through it really does feel like the first game but with more stuff on top, which isn't a bad thing but those who didn't particularly like the gameplay loop of the first won't be seeing much difference here. Still worth playing if your a big fan of fast-paced action rouguelites with an insane attention to detail and polish.

Quite literally one of the best games ever made, bar none. Edit: Still is.

Fun as hell character action rhythm game, eye popping visuals inspired by 2000s cartoons, hilarious and genuine cast, godlike OST (both licensed and not), short but amazing 7 hour ride with huge replayability, full of love and passion, AND its only $30

TangoGameworks you can't just drop a masterpiece like this out of nowhere and say it's alright

Atlus / SEGA finally listened after all these years of requests. Thank you for freeing this game from the Vita, it's time to put that thing to where it belongs.
This is definitely a "Golden" future towards ports or even simultaneous releases of their extensive catalog in the coming days. Hint hint, maybe a Persona 3 FES / Portable / Definitive Edition down the line hmmm???

Unless you have a good bandwidth and need a way to game where ever you want in your house, don't bother. Although it's currently super cheap at the time of this review ($2.50 + shipping) you may not find much use for this if you're already able to connect your computer via HDMI to your TV.

Do you like electronic and techno beats? Do you like rhythm games or rail shooters? Then this game is perfect for you.
This HD remaster of the 2002 cult classic Rez is a blast to enjoy for music game fans or to those that just want to see some spectacular light effects although the game is very short even with the new Area X mode (which is to be expected as it is a music game).
Get ready for some sick colorful lightshows, because its about to get bright in here. Don't forget about your VR headset, because that'll just make this wonderful experience 1000x immersive.
