The direction of the game is completely out of sync with its players. The AMA by Pilestedt was a huge red flag when he responded to simple question with, “oh you sweet summer child”. The company has become dismissive and out of touch with its player base. Perhaps Arrowhead has simply moved on to other projects and will keep a skeleton crew pumping out warbonds.

Every faction in the game is buggy. Enemies phase through walls, pathing gets broken, map objects start clipping players into the ground and general instability that never seems fully resolved. It’s exhausting to deal with when you can't get the fleshmob out of the ground under an objective.

Warbonds have also been underwhelming, both in quality and value. Meanwhile, it’s been ages since we’ve seen any meaningful additions like new eagle or orbital stratagems, which are some of the best parts of the game. Instead, the new mech gets locked behind a warbond rather than being tied to a major order, which just feels like another monetization-first decision.

Balance is another issues, since Arrowhead keeps nerfing weapons or buffing enemies in ways that funnel players into fewer viable playstyles. It feels less like strategic diversity and more like forced compliance. Pair that with unreliable communication and frequent undocumented changes, and it becomes difficult to trust what’s actually happening behind the scenes.

Players have been asking for many features like transmog, a public test server, a squad system, increased DSS functionality, and a shooting range. Instead, updates continue to add buggy enemies, mediocre new weapons and armors, instead of updates improving or fixing the actual experience.

The recent major order medal changes aren't for a gameplay improvement and are instead a way to inflate player engagement numbers for Arrowhead's yearly financial reporting.

At this point, I’d honestly recommend players look into “alternative” methods of getting super credits if they’re sticking around, because the current system doesn’t feel respectful of time or investment.

Personally, I’m stepping away until we see something on the scale of another 60-patch or a genuinely meaningful shift in direction. Right now, it just doesn’t feel worth it.
