I believe that the Planetside 2 devs are working on something called OMFG which is an acronym for Operation: Make Faster Game. If i'm not mistaken a patch was recently released for Planetside 2 that really increased my performance (I am assuming that was related to OMFG). I also believe that there are going to be a series of updates to the game as OMFG progresses so hopefully we'll be seeing this game run much smoother soon! :)
