Don't think of it as a more confined Hitman game, think of it as a much more open Uncharted game.

Early Access Review
The developers snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Lets face it, gamers gave this studio infinite patience, no expectation of a release anytime soon, awful graphics, jank gameplay, endless bugs - but they still got overwhelingly positive reviews.

But now they've just gone nuclear.

It's really good - a few elements I don't like, namely: excessive cartoonish ragdolling, too much resource management, too easy to miss too much even when you feel like you're searching everywhere, and climbing being too clunky in certain situations.

Music is fantastic (shoutout to The Toxic Avenger!), Kami is amazing, the story is interesting, I just yearn to know more about the Troglodytes and explore their ruins.

This is the best expansion so far easily, so many possibilities and play-through opportunities. This is a true old fashioned expansion which transforms the entire game in a super positive way.

This game is on sale for $7AUD, which might be the best gaming deal you will ever pick up.

Honestly - this is a really, genuinely fun survival game. Combining suspension belts with sigawire is utterly amazing. The combat feels fine, melee is a bit clunky outside of 1v1's but that's about it. Tbh it makes sense to me that you can't win against multiple people in a sword fight.

This is the first 'survival' crafting game to get the survival right.

The building is a little weird to get at first, but once you get the hang of the controls it's really intuitive and very flexible.

Marvel Rivals might be the worst example of competitive matchmaking, ever. It is so bad, that you can crush a ranked game, and then proceed to beat those exact same players game, after game, after game.

It is so bad, that I highly suggest not even bothering to try Marvel Rivals until it's properly fixed.

Coming from Hell Let Loose, Squad 44 is the freshest breath of air I could've experienced. I was initially a bit off-put by the price tag despite loving Squad.

But after one game that instantly dissolved away. Squad 44 is so much better than Hell Let Loose its crazy its not talked about. Most of the players in Hell Let Loose (the majority of each team) will be utterly awful, they won't communicate, listen to orders, look at the map, ect. In Squad 44 that is the total opposite, almost every single player is cohesive in their unit, they listen, they pay attention, they put a bit of effort into making the game fun on both sides.

Logistics in Squad 44 is simplified compared to Squad, but compared to the joke that is logistics in Hell Let Loose its refreshing. Hell Let Loose almost intentionally chose to keep logistics almost irrelevant to the outcome of the game, because they know that their players wouldn't be able to handle any simple side tasks required to actually win. You can totally ignore every element of logistics in Hell Let Loose and the outcome of any game is barely changed.

The gun-play feels better, the performance is substantially better, the movement is more flexible, the classes are more varied and impactful. If you find yourself annoyed at how most Hell Let Loose games end up, Squad 44 is probably the game your supposed to be playing.
