Early Access Review
FIRST AND FOREMOST, IN IT'S CURRENT STATE I GIVE THE GAME A 7 OUT OF 10, SO THIS REVIEW IS NOT EXACTLY A "I DO NOT RECOMMEND" REVIEW.

To keep things short, at this moment, Subnautica 2 it's just Subnautica 1 with "better graphics" (UE5 graphics, so there's clearly performance and rendering problems) and lesser or unpolished content because of the Early Access. These problems CURRENTLY make Subnautica 2 a downgrade compared to Subnautica 1, and I repeat, CURRENTLY, because I trust the developers will make this a better game with future updates. But currently there's NO SPECIAL GAME anywhere, so take most of the positive reviews with a grain of salt, there's a lot of "blind" fans praising the game a little too much.

THE NEGATIVE:
-Poor performance because of UE5 (primarily Lumen) and general poor optimization by the devs, even with all the graphics at low my PC can't reach 50 fps, so I have to upscale to barely reach 60 fps.
-Bad graphics rendering, a lot of artifacts, etc. also mainly because of UE5.
-The story is so flat and the new ball AI that helps you has really boring and confusing dialogues. Basically it's just bad writing.
-There's some bugs.
-Lack of content.
-Unpolished content and UI.
-Lack of basic modern settings like FOV slider.
-People complain about the EULA, there's a lot of concerns about privacy and giving up essential rights (REALLY CONCERNING STUFF).

THE GOOD:
-I like that they kept the simple mechanics of the first game.
-It's a new world, there's new creatures and places to discover.
-The building mechanics are just better, I like them.
-If you ignore all the performance and rendering issues, the graphics are beautiful.

To finish things off, if you have a really beefy PC and you really love Subnautica 1, this game will obviously satisfy you. But if you have an average Gaming PC and you're just a casual Subnautica player, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

It's launch date and there's already a lot of blatant CHEATERS using mainly WALLHACK in competitive. It's a shame the best shooter of all time never has had a decent Anti-Cheat. What a piece of crap!
