Как-то однажды он удалил половину своих друзей (и меня в том числе, правда, добавил обратно на следующий же день), вполне возможно, Jonesy просто решил "разобраться во всём" - создал новый аккаунт стима, а старый забросил на некоторое время.

Лучше на этом не зацикливаться - Саня бы такого не одобрил, он всегда ценил время и эмоции, которые люди давали ему. Да и в любом случае, он есть в твоём списке друзей, поэтому, если он и объявится, то ты это сразу заметишь либо в недавней активности, либо краем глаза увидишь уведомление стима о том, что он онлайн / зашёл в игру, всё-таки в шапке его профиля написано "I won't be online for a while ", а не "I won't be online anymore ", так что думаю, он ещё объявится.
