Exactly what a remake should be. Fully remade assets, and some updated areas and mechanics, but still very much true to the original.

Most negative reviews are just dorks who are trying to run the game with the same PC hardware they ran the original with.

A bit light on story content, but totally fine and enough for early access.

Its awesome, but be warned it is tuned for controllers and not racing wheels which was not a surprise. Expect lots of extra tweaking and tuning to get it controlling well with a racing wheel (still worth it though).

One of the few "survival" games that it actually makes good sense for it to be all about "survival".

The current early access is amazing. About 15 hours of gameplay leading up to the current ending which is certainly worth the price.

Best AAAAA pirate game.

Its actually better than Vampire Survivors (VS).
VS is very passive gameplay after a while, and you just let it play on auto-pilot for the most part.
In Vampire Crawlers, you actively play the entire time. This really adds more depth and feels much more engaging overall.
