Personally, This chapter was not it.
Reminder this contains spoilers.

I waited so long for this chapter, was super excited but now that I've played it I wish I could undo all of my actions. There wasnt a lot of story it felt like.

This chapter felt rushed, in a way when it comes to it's story.
In the previous chapters, there were tons of cutscenes, tapes, and the notes were actually fun to read. I may have missed some, but I was really lacking a lot of story when it comes to chapter 5.
The characters in this chapter didn't feel like something special. We barely got to see any of them, or atleast not the proper ones. While in the other chapters we saw a lot of the ''promoted'' characters.
The time you had in chases was SUPER stressfull (which was good) and eventually it got, frustrating. You had like 3 seconds to figure out something or you die and have to do it all over again. The puzzles felt like the same thing, over and over again. The environment felt all the same? Not a lot of new areas to explore?
I liked Lily, as a character. She felt super cool when it came to the trailers I had seen, but then actually seeing her in action? Terrible. Her chase was the worst. The VHS's stories in previous chapter felt very informing. We learned about what was going on, the easter egg voicelines in the smiling critters their panels, etc. But this one? Each panel had 1-2 lines, Nothing special. I may have missed some easter eggs, but my point stands. Previous chapters had so many fun things to explore, hidden rooms you could look into, voice easter eggs. I barely saw anything unique.
And it feels like it's becoming super weird with its areas too. Daycare was underground, which was already massive. But now theres a hospital down there too? How much deeper are we? How do the staff even navigate this place?
Most of the notes you could find were just ''experiment logs'' rather than actual notes informing us on the story. I really wish there was more story to be found in this chapter. I get that poppy playtime has a dark story but this chapter barely showed us any of that. What was the goop that was laying around? What was the room with the massive tree/branches?
The creatures we kept seeing, were those the outimals? They sure didn't look like them. Nor did we ever see the outimals get produced? We never saw them in proper state. We only saw the same 3 models of those creatures with the same 3 running animations and same 3 voicelines they occasionally had.

The only thing I liked about this chapter, and I'll say it again. Was Lily. I liked the area she was in, I liked her design, her voice, but other than that. This chapter's toys weren't interesting either.

I personally don't think chapter 5 is worth the money. Wait until it's on sale, if you wanna get it. But honestly not worth it. I enjoy poppy playtime. I really do. But this if you asked me ''Do you recommend chapter 5?'' No. Absolutely not.

I am super dissapointed, let that be known.

The menus are hard to navigate, it's super overwhelming for new players. You don't really get any guidance on how to navigate, and the MMR system? What's it for? You get people with MMR 2, and MMR 4 in the same lobby?? You get oneshot every corner you take because I as a 20 hour player get matched against 5 thousand hour players. Absolute insanity.
