At the time of this review i am roughly 11 hours into the game. i will continue to play and finish this game but i will not enjoy it. only playing cause i like the ip.

This game is simply not good. everything that u would want out of a SAO game is forgotten to void and the quality of what they did make is garbage. there are so far exactly 5 enemy types i have seen so far. boar, wolf, plant, kobold, wasp/spider (they look exactly the same). every enemy is just a reskined vesion of one of these types (including the bosses).

the animations and charecter models in this game are also ubsurdly bad for the price of this game. every charecter moves like a maniquin thats head swivels around and that is it. there is also just something basely wrong with the famale protagonist model. idk what it is but the upper torso just looks wrong. the npc models look alright but they again move soo stiffly that its just horrendus to watch. even in cutscenes things still lookjust clunky and off. the running animation in particular is just painfull to look at, and it is something you will be seeing allot of.

speaking of running, that is what u will be doing most of the time cause there is nothing to do in this game except fight the same 5 monsters and explore a dead world. except u cant even explore it cause the game forces you to stay on a strick path. there is no open world. u teleport from town into a map that looks explorable but u are restricted to a single play area and it is tedious to even go through that. all the cool looking places u want to explore are just outside the play area and it will force teleport u back if u even try to go there cause they are outside the quest area. not to mention all the things that they do let u explore give almost always meaningless rewards and then force u to backtrack through the path u just went cause there is no way in hell they would connect it so u can just keep progressing. there are also allot of these weird bridges that u can unlock to serve as shortcuts but they only go backwards and since u will probably never go through that area again they are pointless.

the only thing somewhat fun so far is the combat. and when i say combat i mean only boss fights. the regular monsters in the world all die in like 2 hits so there is not really a fight. some of the bosses have cool moves and aoes that are fun to fight against and feel like somewhat of a battle. the weapon skills all feel good and look good but the weapons themselves are kinda lackluster. upgrading them is super easy and not in a good way. idk the whole item and weapon systems is kinda bland. also not being able to equip a helmet is criminal.

all in all the hype for this game (just like every ther game lately) was let down. the game sucks, the charecters are bland, the world is lifeless and unexploreable, and the story is lackluster.

argo is the only good charecter and u cant even use her half the time. let me die in peace please. GGs

currently the game is not really worth playing, or at least dedicating any decent amount of time to. the lack of game modes, getting the same map over and over (including the one you have banned). the seemingly neverending grind. and with the recent ai scandal and copy past of every vehical in the game as a premium, its not worth it untill the devs decide to make changes. the reward for getting a nuke should be 5-10x what it is. rp gains need rebalancing especialy for doing anti air in ground battles. more game modes and more map veritey. all these things and much more need to change. hopefully more people will speak out and say something and when the devs finaly start changing things for the better i will gladly change this to a positive reivew. i love this game truely but it is currently a sinking ship that needs allot of work.

i played for 18 hours straight and litteraly could not stop, and i 100% will be replaying in the future. i love this game so much! best game. 11/10
