Created one of the first niche sub-culture auction sites and communities on the net (around 100k members and $6m in transactions), in 1997, which I closed down in 2010 due to my waning interest in the sub-culture and auctions, in general. After twelve years, I didn't feel there was much left to do which felt new and exciting and held my interest.

While there are similarities to Minecraft (there is ore to be found in the world, but you only have a small plot of land you can build on), it seems a lot more like Diablo than Minecraft. There's a lot of dungeon exploring and loot to be had, but admittedly, I haven't played Minecraft in a long time.

This is all based on the ~3 hours of Trove I've played (I still seem to be in the tutorialized part of the game), but I'm having fun so far!
