By the way, the duke rocket as depicted above solved the problem of rendezvous, docking and everything at once. It could launch a complete spacestation at once, or a massive truck, massive base or even multiple small houses for the colonies on duna and eve XD

True on all of those. The thing is that KSP is not done yet, so many things being changed along the way which causes mods to go defunct as well. So I think I'm going to wait using mods for a while, I used some and then KSP got patched.

But yeah, I would really love to enclose my payload by any means, wether it's aboard a shuttle or behind some panels...

Well, about the caps n stuff... I had some mods installed before, like Soyuz missions and umm I think Ariane? They had some really nice parts, like payload pads, and removable payload covers, those looked really sleek :D Unfortunately mods like these made the game start up reaaaal slow, and also a bit crashy.
In the end, I had to (heavy heartedly) remove them. Oh and there was also the russian space shuttle :) By the way, they should really work on the shuttle parts in vanilla. They pretty much suck :D

Note @6:48 the data-to-visuals representation that KSP was modeled after, I heard that KSP replaced that system at Nasa too.

Well, when kerbal gets a new patch and I have the time... I'm going to reïnstall it and give it a try. I'm not going to look up any video tutorials or guides, it takes away the fun a bit lol. I will get there eventually.

I hope that one day we can put an aerodynamic cap on top of our rockets. Something to throw off when we deploy a satelite. Right now it always looks weird to see a nice rocket with its stump on top, or the truck, or some other weird shape. It would also be nice if we could deploy things the way we can deploy solar-panels. It would look nice, would make for nice videos, etc, etc.

But in some cases, like this one, it's incredible that I've been playing an unfinished game all this time, knowing that the game will encompass even more in time without buying new dlc. And I'm also keeping my hopes up that ksp will transfer to the new Unity engine, as it is 64-bits and multi-core ready.

Docking itself isn't that hard with enough RCS fuel. It's the rendezvous that can be a pain^^ Having the same orbit doesn't help at all. That was also my mistake :) Basically, you should go for a bit wider orbit, then burn a bit retro to create a cross section, and then wait an match velocities when crossing. With enough RCS fuel (and patience^^) you can even correct bigger distances with RCS. Still it's definitely one of the more complex and fuel hungry maneuver ;) (after that just simply control from the docking port, and select the other port as target, and just slowly RCS your way to it^^)

Yes or even controlling 2 spaceships at once, like on the Apollo-Soyuz test. Oh man, I can already see time slipping past...

But yes, I should go check out mechjeb too. But really, I would like to have as little help as possible for the first time I dock something. One of my plans to do this is to bring part1 straight up to kerbin-sync orbit, write down how long I burned in which direction and bring part2 to the exact same spot XD

My first attempts at rendezvous failed COMPLETELY XD Tried to sync from a circular orbit, wich of course is not possible. Later I used MechJeb, and that helped a lot to learn some more advanced stuff :) Now I only rely on MJ if I just want to try something quickly, without having to think everything through for every little probe^^ And hell yeah can't wait for MP! would be awesome if you could have a complete crew on a mission. Or even rival space organisations

Hahahahaha, I feel for that poor Kerbal. I have lost a handfull of Kerbals because I still can't rendezvous... I know I can look up how to do it, but I don't want to. I want to keep trying untill I get it done! So... as a result... I keep away from Kerbal for the time being. Otherwise, well, I can't stop once again. And then there is the promiss of Multiplayer... I just know that I'm going to spend way too much time in Multiplayer. I don't know what it will be like yet, but I know for sure that I'm going to.

Hey there! Your Kerbal review really made me laugh, 'cause it's SO true :D But you actually forgot to mention the time-slip paradoxon when playing Kerb: Let's build a rock...DAMN ANOTHER 4 HOURS!!
In my opinion, one of the best parts is when things go to hell. Had once a Kerb trapped on orbit around Mun, and since i was in an early research phase, I only had crappy rockets at my disposal to save him, so rendezvous was pretty out of the question. Long story short, the dude had to EVA from his dead pod, to the rescue rocket, over more than 2km, hoping he was fast enough to not miss before it drifts too far. :)
