I genuinely recommend to players to collect as many of the songs as they can for the Jukebox and spend time running around the open zones blasting out the Sonic music, the vibes are immaculate!

Just a well-made set of open worlds. Got a bit of a poor reception lately, but the core game is still pretty fun. Could do with some performance upgrades though.

Also: I heavily recommend messing with the movement settings. Set Deceleration rate to maximum (makes Sonic stop on a dime), and set air deceleration to off (makes Sonic fly through the air at speed). Tweak the controls just right and you're flying across the map.

I really wanted to enjoy Sonic Frontiers, but honestly... this game just didn't click with me.

The biggest issue is that I found it really boring. There were moments where I was genuinely struggling to stay engaged, and it almost put me to sleep. The open-zone concept sounded interesting on paper, but in practice it felt repetitive and not nearly as exciting as I expected.

Another thing that bothered me was the enemy design. Most of the enemies look so bland and generic that they don't even feel like they belong in a Sonic game. Instead of memorable robots or unique enemies, a lot of them look like random creatures you'd find in any other game. They just don't have much personality.

The movement can be fun at times, and I can see that the game has some interesting ideas. But for me, those ideas weren't enough to make the overall experience enjoyable. I kept waiting for the game to finally click, and it never really happened.

That said, I might still try to finish it at some point. Maybe there's something later in the game that will change my opinion. But based on what I've played so far, I just haven't had much fun with it.

Maybe it'll work better for other people, especially longtime Sonic fans, but for me, Sonic Frontiers ended up being one of those games that I wanted to like much more than I actually did.
