its completely user error, i used a quest 3 with steam link and hardwired with steam vr and never had a problem, your internet is also probably trash, im currently using PSVR2 with adapter and still have no issues, im also betting you bought prebuilt pcs and prebuilds are always trash computers

on a forum where more than half of the threads are about people having troubles with steam vr and most of them are legit and quite often cannot be fixed on user side, u pull a "educated" guess out of ur ass and call it "USER ERROR" while stating that u had a quest 3 and hardwired it with steam link and steam vr, buddy steam link dosen't have wired connection if u ever used it u would know, next u assume that op's internet is trash and make another "educated" guess about his pc and also call it trash... where did u come from mr butthurt ? are u responsible for the recent steam vr ♥♥♥♥ ups ? are u their coder if so learn to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ code

as for OP's problem of steam link being trash, try different versions of it, if vd works well then problem is on steam links end obviously, but also if vd works well then why the hell do u even need a steam link in the first place, stick to vd if u have access to it

He doesn't know what he's talking about. I blocked him, anyway. Useless response. I bet all he does anyway on here is tell everyone it's their own problem and the software is flawless.

blud consider yourself lucky you even have a functioning headset im waiting for my tether replacement for my index and they still havent even sent my order out yet and its been 2 days, not to mention the cable costs 129 dollars.

Why not just use a normal USB C cable to hardwire?

It still uses SteamVR on the backend, VD mostly works but it still has issues due to the backend ♥♥♥♥.
