Hi new player. Never played HL1 or 2. Figured id try 1 before 2. >Have 4K monitor >Using Ubuntu 25.10 & KDE Plasma >Open game. Works >Change video setting > crashes Any video setting. Going from fullscreen to windowed. Changing resolution, etc. Also, I cannot get it to change which screen it goes fullscreen to. HL1 keeps wanting to fullscreen to my vertical monitor. Any launch settings? Id rather not mod the game unless ABSOLUTELY necessary....

What difficulty are you on? because I'm on easy mode and there's a 3rd tank after the turret & with the alien hand gun thing, I've watched a playthrough and it doesn't have a tank at that spot. Do you know the answer or is this some kind of bug? What could I do? Yes, this is my first playthrough....
