Finding You Great Games for Under a Dollar

Hello 99 Cent Gaming fans!

(TL;DR - Closing up 99CG shop, migrating to new group, thank you for support, links to new channels at end of post)

It's been a heck of a ride for this niche and YT channel but unfortunately I've had no time to really get back into this type of review specifically. I've thought really hard about whether to try and keep this group active separate from my current review/preview path, or to close it down and combine it with my new group that will feature more than just these types of games. I've decided on the later.

99 Cent Gaming was born from an idea that asked "are all of these games just easy cash grabs, or are some of them actually worth the dollar or more?" and is easily one of the most enjoyable things I've done this year. However, as my free time started dwindling and the urge to improve my editing grew, I saw no way to continue the channel outside of the way I was already doing it: buy game, record raw impression and webcam, upload. This wasn't fair to everyone who invested their time and support, as it didn't show a willingness to improve the production value despite that never being the case.

Fast forward to the end of the year and I've started back into being a streamer. This time I have many people helping me with production upkeep and consistency, and a few communities that have been very supportive of my current run of live streams. On top of that, I've been able to reconnect and make new connections with various publishers and developers in hopes of fostering relationships as a reviewer and an influencer. So far it's seen some success and makes me feel like this is the direction I want to go moving forward.

So, what does this mean for the 99 Cent Gaming brand? Currently the series will still be on an indefinite hiatus as I move everything I've ever reviewed from here over to the new group, and the reviews over to a new YouTube channel that will also include my Twitch archives. This doesn't mean the series is dead at all, I just don't know when it'll be back....but it will definitely return at some point. And possibly in a medium that no one expects. All I can say is....stay tuned.

I want to thank ALL of my supporters of both the YT channel and the Steam group/curator page. Somehow, even without posting a review on the channel for almost 9 months now, I've gotten 246 subscribers and 8.5k views....almost enough to be considered for monetization!

It's my hope that you all will support my new venture and group as you have here, but if this is the last time we see each other, know that I loved every second of doing these videos and reviews for you and I'm proud to have entertained you with them.
