European School Gaming Events

Hi all, I just wanted to write a few lines in here about what a nice bunch of people we have here together and how little hanging out we get to do these days.

It used to be that the first thing people did when they started their Steam was to go in ESC chat and say "hi". We were keeping in touch, sharing stuff, catching-up with our lives and hanging out in all-friendly manner - microphone communication or not!

These past 6 months, online availability has changed a lot for many and that may be a reason why we are not so active as a community anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I for one am not online most evenings when some serious gaming sessions DO take place these days, but what I'm saying is that "we" used to be more than just gaming acquaintances, and at least for me, getting together in ESC chat was a way to maintain close contact with friends.

Changing times where people have less free time, are abroad in no-internet warzones, widespread use of messaging apps, vaning interests in gaming or general aging (in other words '♥♥♥♥♥♥') symptoms?

I think we can fight through this and make 2016 a friendly year for ESC! Right now I'm on an oilrig in the middle of the North Sea and I'm in ESC chat! What's your excuse?
