Game Effect is a Latin American digital magazine with more than four years of experience covering video games and geek culture through professional, fresh, and analytical content. Our mission is to support and promote independent and mainstream talent across Latin America, connecting developers, communities, brands, universities, and players.

Over the years, we have built strategic partnerships with major gaming events and organizations such as Supernova Indie Game Fest, Gamergy, Gamacon, La Mole, GCMX, Game On! by UDEM, and Liverpool Gaming Fest, as well as game development communities throughout Latin America.

Game Effect Showcase 2026 is the evolution of our digital event dedicated to Spanish-speaking indie game development. This edition combines an official Steam event with a pre-recorded showcase video of approximately one hour, featuring trailers, announcements, previews, and exclusive reveals from Spanish-speaking studios.

The 2025 edition :

• 383 submitted games

• 207 games selected for the Steam event

• 68 games selected for the main showcase

• Participation from 12 Spanish-speaking countries:
  Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Peru, Dominican Republic, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Guatemala.

Our goal is to strengthen the presence of Spanish-speaking indie development within the global gaming industry while providing a platform where emerging studios can reach a wider international audience.
