As one of Ireland's most recognisable & most beloved broadcasters, he has been a constant friend to his listeners in the good times and in the bad; Joe Duffy has served the Irish public for 37 years. As of one week ago today he broke the news that he would finally be hanging up his headphones for good with his final Live Line being Friday the 27th of June.

As a mark of respect to the man and his long and tenuous career I am saddened to announce the fan club will be following suit and permanently closing following Joe's final show. As chairman of the organisation, I want to thank you for being a member all these years and for your support of the show simply by having been a member of this community.

A listen along of Joe's final show will be taking place, so please do try to be there as a show of support for the big man. Further details to come in a follow up announcement close the time so please keep and eye out for that folks.

The Irish airwaves will surely be left with an unfillable void following Joe's retirement, but the fan club wants to extend a heart felt congratulations to Joe on his magnificent career and all the best in his retirement, take it easy Joe.
