Hey Gaymers,

I started up a twitch channel less than a month ago and have been sending out periodic announcements through this group. A few people have written to tell me they didn't think it appropriate for me to use the group to promote my own twitch channel, and I've been considering those words carefully over the last week or so and have since stopped sending those announcements.

I don't want to be one of those people who tells others they can't do things, only to do them myself. I also never intended to abuse the channel by promoting my stream. I do promote the group through my channel, but I wanted to know what you folks think and whether you want me to continue, to stop, or don't really care either way.

This group is a community for all of us and I want us all to enjoy hanging out and being a part of it together. I know the group isn't the most active anymore, but there are a few of you who are dedicated members that participate and many of you I've met and spoken with over the years are also friends of mine.

I want you guys to have a say in the way we run the group, I also want you guys to help me make the group better, more appealing, and have it be a positive place for LGBTQA gamers to come, make friends, play games and be themselves. I hope you all will take a moment to read all this and leave me a comment below, so I know how you feel about our community.

As an aside, I do want to thank all of you for helping me achieve Twitch affiliate status in 9 days, grow to almost 100 followers in 3 weeks, and for your continued support. As I am able to grow my twitch channel, I had hoped to use this group as a place to bring friendly allies, and other LGBTQA gamers together. I would absolutely love nothing more than to have everyone here be a part of that, but I will respect the consensus decision on whether this is a direction you want the group to go, or not.
