PerfectWorld Entertainment are in talks with DE to buy the rights to Warframe license from them. This would keep DE developing the game, but totally under PWE rule. This would, quite litterally, kill Warframe.

PWE are an asian company that exist to buy out free to play MMOs that have a big playerbase. After they have bought out the MMO, they will then proceed to monotise the crap out of it. Gambling lockboxes, insane price hikes and locking most of the content that USED to be free, behind a paywall.

They have done this to EVERY. SINGLE. MMO they have purchased. No exceptions. It's naive to think Warframe would be one. If this deal does go through Warframe will slowly die. It will start slow. "Lotus Lockboxes" for 30 plat from the market, perhaps. With a 50% chance of getting a prime part and a 50% chance of getting nothing.
