The Peaky Blinders are a gang from Birmingham, England. It was active at the end of the XIX and, to a lesser extent, at the beginning of the XX century, after the First World War.

The Peaky Blinders were one of many urban youth gangs in this era. The gang included representatives of the working class of Britain who grew up in harsh economic conditions. They engaged in robberies, violence, racketeering, illegal bookmaking and gambling control.

Participants wore branded outfits, which usually included custom-made jackets, lapel coats, button-down vests, silk scarves, bell-bottomed trousers, leather boots and pointed flat caps. They held power for almost twenty years, until in 1910 they were surpassed by a larger gang — the "Birmingham Boys" led by Billy Kimber.
