The Engie Rule philosophy: Fast-paced, Fun and... well, fun!

Do you enjoy Supreme Commander 2 but hate base campers? Are long turtle games not your style? Then this is the group for you!

Engie Rules is a set of agreed upon rules within a game of Supreme Commander 2 to promote fast-paced games where turtling up in your base is really difficult. So what are the rules then?

It is as simple as this: you may NOT build a research station unless you capture an engineer from a different faction and you may then only build ONE research station representing that faction. This means that at any time you can at max have TWO research stations. We started enforcing this rule when we realized that the "Slow Research" option in the game (which disables the research building entirely) didn't feel just right. We wanted the possibility of accessing other factions' research but in a controlled manner. And thus the rules were born.
