Seleucid Empire rules a vast and culturally diverse territory formed from the remnants of the great Macedonian conqueror's eastern empire. Rapidly becoming Hellenized by its ruling Macedonian elite, the Seleucid Empire is an industrious centre of city building and civil engineering, attracting many Greek colonists. Such immigration provides the missing infantry support required to compliment the expert light and heavy cavalry of Seleucid armies. Despite an, at times, precarious position at home, the Seleucids now look to expand into Ptolemaic Egypt and beyond, to Alexander’s former western empire in Greece and Macedon.

The Seleucids are Victorious

The Egyptians give their Pharaos sword to the Seleucid Emperor. The Pharaoh killed himself last night, before the army of Werses got a chance to do it for him. Any hope of Egypt rising again is gone. The royal family is dead. The Seleucid heirs of Alexanders generals, are proven to be the stronger ones.

The Egyptians have suffered such a crushing defeat, that they have instantly surrendered to the might of the Seleucids. All Egyptian provinces, from Paraitonion to Aksum, are now a part of the Seleucid Empire. However, when the Egyptian government fell apart, local lords took control. The Seleucid Empire will crush them underfoot, and any intervention from other nations will be seen as trespassing on our territory. If any other nation tries to take advantage of the situation, siezing an old Egyptian province whilst unprotected, it will be seen as if they were taking one of the Seleucid garrisoned provinces, and therefore a declaration of war.

In the sand dunes of Meroe, the two armies faced eachother. This was the moment of truth. This was the first battle where the Seleucid forces would be facing off with the Egyptians. Here, on this battlefield, would be decided the future of two nations. I could feel the smell of the men`s sweat, hear their heartbeats; it was as if mother earth herself was holding her breath. They were all aware of what was at stake, and willingly risking their lives for it. Risking it for their nation, their families, their general. Sudden commotion struck me. As I looked down on the ground, I could see the tiny sand grits. But I could also see the big rocks upon the sand. And in one very special rock, lying on top of a pile, I refound my strength. For I was not the sand grit; and I was not an ordinary rock. I was that rock. And a rock is something to lean upon, but also something that could crush the others with brute force; should it fall upon them. With strong determination deep in my heart, I turned to my soldiers.

The troops were quickly ordered to advance, still keeping their formation. After taking the first ridge, I put my army to a hault. Seeing my superiority in manouverability, I quickly took control of the surroundings of the enemy army, my azat knights dutifully killing off the Ptolemaic cav. Now the Egyptians, and the Pharaoh, were caught in a death trap, with no escape. The "elite" Royal egyptian army was slaughtered within minutes. Such is the fate of those who attack the Seleucid Empire. Such is the fate of those who attack me. Seleucus I Nicator, the gods know that your sons have made you proud this day. Seleucid brothers; WE ARE VICTORIOUS!!!
