Wow.

When this game first came out, it was a cool little survival game that had a small community. Then, after not playing for maybe one or two years, seeing how much this game's changed is amazing.

You must have friends to play this with or you will be killed on sight by people with more gear than you will ever obtain. I miss the zombies :(

This game completely nails atmosphere, tension, immersion, and incredibly responsive gameplay The world feels alive in a convincing and unnerving way. It's like if Rainbow Six, FoF, Black Ops (2010), Rust, and Tarkov had some sort of mutant Portland Polycule fetus that grew up into a rocket surgeon bodybuilder.

I don't smoke crack, I swear. You have the item/consumable placement and knowledge requirement from R6, the cowboy-ness of FoF, the attention to detail and grit of Black Ops, the movement of Rust, and the unforgiving nature of Tarkov (I've never played Tarkov).

Why did I let this game go unplayed for so long? Probably because I imagined some dull inventory management system a la Tarkov, but this game is so f*cking simple. Pick 2 guns, pick your health kits or bombs or what have you, and don't worry *too* much about dying because the currency is generous. But dying still hurts as much as it needs to.

So many weapons to experiment with, so many zombies/spiders/beasts to kill, so many players to snipe or load with buckshot.

Burn the bodies.
