Infected Get Bloody

Description
This mod adds another additionally extra immersive element to L4D2 by changing the appearance of special infected world models during combat. When a survivor or infected gets hurt, all nearby special infected will be covered in blood.

Edited texture files are included for all special infected so you don't need to install anything else. Custom models/textures can be edited for compatibility if they don't work alongside the script.

All special infected except the Witch are affected. They will get bloodied when they are hurt, when a nearby infected gets hurt, or when they attack a survivor.

You can customize this mod by editing the EMS "bloody_infected\config.txt". This lets you change how close an infected must be to an injured target to get splattered.

if you want to edit a bunch of other VMTs and combines them into one mod, then mark my script as an additional requirement, i am fine with that. i dont want the script itself packed in though

thinking about making a super packed version of this mod,and set multiple vmts for multiple infected models over the workshop,so maybe it can be compatible with more stuff.
(example,all the remastered special infected models by spicy jam)

Do you think, you can make a mod where the Boomer pieces will fly onto the ground after you shoot him or her? Or is that a bit too much?

XD, I don't know why your two recently uploaded scripts can't coexist. I think both scripts are over the top: First, you can search for gunshot wounds on Wikipedia; the bleeding is clearly less but there's a noticeable wound. The game's default effect when survivors are shot is somewhat like this, but your script causes way too much bleeding. The effect of blood staining clothes when melee-slashing zombies looks relatively normal, but the rest I think are unnecessary. As for the special infected getting shot and bleeding, in the original game the blood sprays onto the ground or walls, so this modification is redundant. Therefore, I think: simply adding a third-person perspective and the effect of survivors slashing zombies with melee weapons causing blood stains on their clothes is sufficient.
